World Toilet Day was celebrated on a grand scale at Karunguzhi Town Panchayat on November 19, 2018. Before the event day various competitions like poem writing, essay writing and dance competitions were conducted for school students to generate awareness on the theme. Alternative products for single use plastics were also on display and sold during the event. Around 200 students from various schools and colleges in the Town Panchayat participated in a rallyconducted to create awareness among the public on the topic.
